The increase in both speed and stability makes the Bourbon 17 truly unique . A very fast touring kayak with an aggressive expression most commonly found on adventure and racing boats . Using advanced hydrodynamic technology, manufactured in ultra-strong HDPE, the Bourbon 17 has striking stability, maneuverability and speed.

Very good initial and final stability offers both beginners and expedition kayakers a fast-paced journey, even in difficult conditions. Heavy loads are barely felt - this is an ideal expedition kayak. Despite its long waterline that grips the sea for ultimate course stability, the Bourbon 17 has outstanding maneuverability that is unmatched among other sea kayaks. This is due to its built-in keel rudder. The rudder comes in handy when wind and current are working against you. The Bourbon 17 comes fully equipped with a large oval cargo hatch in the bow and stern as well as an easily accessible 20cm snack hatch behind the cockpit. The Point 65 GTX AIR-Backrest™ is standard where you can adjust the backrest with an air pump. Adjustable rudder pedals, cup holders, padded thigh supports and an ergonomic seat with a soft, quick-drying seat cushion.

The cockpit is long so the paddler can perform long power strokes with plenty of legroom as well as making it easier to get in and out. Also unique to the Bourbon 17 is the splash guard on top of the bow that accentuates the kayak's elegant lines and protects any compasses or GPS (a recess is provided for mounting the Silva compass 70P).
